There are many different ways for you to support Trail End. You can become a member of the Trail End Guilds; you can volunteer during a special event; you can be a tour guide; you can donate cash or artifacts; you can even polish silver or work in the gardens if that's what you enjoy! Explore the possibilities!
Membership in the Trail End Guilds is very affordable, with dues starting as low as $10.00 a year. Benefits include a free subscription to our quarterly newsletter, advance notice of upcoming events, and participation in occasional field trips.
All Trail End Guilds members are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings, usually held the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Trail End State Historic Site.

While Trail End entrance fees go to the Wyoming State Parks & Historic Sites system, all sales revenue from books, videos and other souvenirs goes directly into the coffers of the Trail End Guilds.
Sales proceeds have been used to purchase replication rugs and cushions for the mansion, as well as a sound system, and several small exhibit pieces. Sales income also pays for the annual Holiday Open House and other events.
Trail End actively collects artifacts, correspondence and photographs directly related to Trail End, the Kendrick Family and/or the Kendrick Ranches. Unrelated items are also accepted on occasion, if they fit into the site's overall interpretive plan.
Unfortunately, due to space limitations, not all potential donations can be accepted.
Monetary (cash) gifts are gratefully accepted by the Trail End Guilds on behalf of the historic site. Your tax deductible donation will always be used to benefit the site.
Trail End staff call on volunteers to assist with decorating (and undecorating) for the annual Holiday Open House, as well as assisting with visitors during the event.
While this is the biggest annual event at which volunteers serve, there are other volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
Gardening
Collections care
Research
Educational programming
Special event planning
Although Trail End is set up for self-guided tours, we do offer guided tours upon occasion. For these tours, we need the assistance of docents - volunteer tour guides.
Docents guide tours for school children, senior citizens, bus tours and others on an as-needed basis, and are not required to commit to a set schedule or number of tours.
In cooperation with site staff, we offer on-the-job training to anyone interested in sharing Trail End's fascinating story with visitors.
The simplest way to support Trail End is to become a regular visitor. Our exhibits change on an annual basis, so there is something new to see every year.
When you have friends visiting in town, bring them to Trail End! When you see we have an event, come on up and check it out!
There is a pleasant consequence of increased visitation: the more visitors Trail End has, the easier it is for WyoParks to justify budget requests to the Wyoming State Legislature.
